Therapeutic indications: For the treatment of invasion of cestodes and nematodes, especially in mixed parasitic infestations.
For dogs: Ivermectin acts antinematodically in canine heartworm disease by preventing the maturation of the immature (precardiac) stages (L3, L4) of Dirofilaria immitis within one month (30 days) after the invasion. It also acts antinematodically against Toxocara canis (adults), Toxascaris leonina, Trichuris vulpis (adults), Ancylostoma caninum (L4 and adults), Ancylostoma braziliense, Uncinaria stenocephala (L4 and adults), Strongyloides stercoralis.

It acts antinematodically and against Toxocara cati, Ancylostoma tubaeforme, Ancylostoma braziliense, Uncinaria stenocephala, Aelurostrongylus abstrusus, Strongyloides stercoralis.
Praziquantel acts anticystodically against Echinococcus granulosus (sexually mature), Echinococcus multilocularis, Taenia multiceps, T. hydatigena, T. pisiformis, T. taeniaeformis, Dipylidiznn caninum (mature and immature forms), Mesocestoides corti.
Iverprazine tablets are not effective against adult forms of D. immitis. Dogs and cats infected with heartworm should be treated to remove adult heartworms and microfilariae before starting a program with Iverprazine tablets. The product cannot guarantee the removal of all microfilariae.
The two active substances of VMP complement each other and create an opportunity to obtain an extended antiparasitic effect.
Contraindications: Do not use in puppies and kittens less than six weeks old.
Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to the active substances or to any of the excipients.
Do not use in dogs hypersensitive to ivermectin (of the car breed, Old English Shepherd Dog and their generations, or crosses).
Adverse reactions: Rarely, in neglected and debilitated animals, vomiting or diarrhea has been observed within 24 hours after administration of the product at the recommended doses.
Systemic symptoms (drowsiness), neurological symptoms (mydriasis, depression, muscle tremors and ataxia, paresis, lying down, agitation, stupor), and/or gastrointestinal symptoms have been observed in car dogs, Old English Shepherd dogs, and their generations or crosses. vomiting, diarrhea, anorexia, and salivation) coma and death.
Dosage and method of administration: For oral administration.
Dogs: 1 tablet per 10 kg body weight (0.02 mg/kg body weight ivermectin and 5.0 mg/kg body weight praziquantel) once orally, at one-month intervals.
For dogs over 45 kg, do not use more than four tablets as a single dose.
Cats: 1/4 tablet per 2 kg body weight (0.02 mg/kg body weight ivermectin and 5.0 mg/kg body weight praziquantel) once orally, at one-month intervals.
Treated animals should be observed for several minutes after administration of the dose to ensure that it is fully administered. Iverprazine tablets should be administered at intervals of 30 days during the warm season of the year when mosquitoes (vectors), potential carriers of heartworm larvae are active. The starting dose should be administered within one month (30 days) after the first contact of the animals with mosquitoes. The final dose should be given within 30 days of the last contact with mosquitoes.
When replacing another product used to prevent heartworm disease, the first dose of Iverprazine tablets should be given within 30 days of the last dose of the previous product.
If the interval between doses exceeds 30 days, the efficacy of the product may be reduced. For optimal effectiveness, the tablets should be taken once a month – on the same or approximately the same day of the following month. If treatment is delayed by several days or more, immediate administration of Iverprazine tablets and resumption of the recommended dosing regimen will minimize the possibility of developing adult heartworms.
